From July 26 to 28, the 6th International Academic Conference on Internet of Things, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence (IoTAAI 2024) took place smoothly in Guangzhou. The conference was supported by the IEEE Guangzhou Section and co-hosted by the Guangdong Computer Society, Guangdong University of Technology, and Guangdong University of Technology. It was organized by the School of Automation of Guangdong University of Technology, the School of Computer Science of Guangdong University of Technology, the IoT and Network Special Committee of the Guangdong Computer Society, and Zhongkai University of Agriculture and Engineering; co-organized by the Guangdong Ais Information Technology Academic Exchange Institute, AEIC Academic Exchange Center, and Guangdong Petroleum and Chemical College. 


The conference brought together 150 scholars, including IEEE Fellows, members of the Chinese Association of Automation, and National Excellent Youth Program awardees, from well-known universities such as Tsinghua University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, South China University of Technology, and South China Normal University. Experts and scholars at the conference engaged in in-depth discussions on cutting-edge topics in the fields of Internet of Things, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence.

Professor Cen Jian, Dean of the School of Automation at Guangdong University of Technology, presided over the opening ceremony. Professor Han Guoqiang, Chairman of the Guangdong Computer Society, and Professor Deng Wenxin, Vice President of Guangdong University of Technology, delivered splendid opening speeches. Professors Han and Deng warmly welcomed the attending experts and scholars, expressing their hope that through this conference, participants could engage in meaningful exchanges and witness advancements in technology, promote collaboration and communication, explore future development directions, and contribute wisdom and strength to the progress and application of Internet of Things, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence technologies.

This academic conference featured a rich and diverse agenda, including keynote speeches, oral presentations, and poster displays. The conference was honored to invite six distinguished experts in the field: Professor Giancarlo Fortino, an IEEE Fellow from the University of Calabria in Italy; Professor You Keyou from Tsinghua University; Professor Deng Feiqi, an academician of the Chinese Association of Automation from South China University of Technology; Professor Ma Dazhong from Northeastern University; Professor Shu Lei from Nanjing Agricultural University; and Professor Tang Yu from Guangdong University of Technology. Each of these experts delivered exceptional and professional keynote presentations. They not only shared their latest research findings but also discussed future development trends in the industry, providing profound insights and reflections for the attendees.
