2025 7th International Conference on Internet of Things, Automation, 

and Artificial Intelligence Grandly Held at Guangdong University of Technology


On September 13, 2025, the 7th International Conference on Internet of Things, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence (IoTAAI 2025) was successfully held at Guangdong University of Technology. The conference was jointly organized by Guangdong University of Technology and the Guangdong Computer Society, and hosted by the School of Automation of Guangdong University of Technology. Professor Jianbin Xiong, Vice Dean of the School of Automation, served as the program chair and was fully responsible for the overall organization of the event. The conference gathered experts and scholars from renowned domestic and international universities and research institutions, including Tsinghua University, Beihang University, and South China University of Technology, to collectively discuss the latest research achievements and development trends in the fields of IoT, automation, and artificial intelligence.

The morning session on September 13 took place in Lecture Hall 208, Building 1, East Campus of Guangdong University of Technology. The opening ceremony was chaired by Professor Jian Cen, Dean of the School of Automation, Guangdong University of Technology.

Welcome speeches were delivered by Professor Qiang Han, President of the Guangdong Computer Society, and Professor Qingyun Dai, President of Guangdong University of Technology. Both expressed warm greetings to all attendees and highly affirmed the key role of emerging disciplines such as IoT and AI in promoting regional industrial upgrading and educational innovation.

The plenary session was chaired by Professor Feiqi Deng from South China University of Technology. Professor Xiao He from Tsinghua University presented a keynote titled “Active Fault Diagnosis of the ‘Jiaolong’ Deep-Sea Manned Submersible,” introducing new methodologies for active diagnosis and control of deep-sea equipment operating in extreme environments. Subsequently, Professor Jianzhong Qiao from Beihang University shared his research on “Bionic Intelligent Navigation and Control Technologies for Unmanned Systems,” showcasing cutting-edge advancements in bionics-based navigation and control of unmanned systems in complex environments.

Professors Feiqi Deng (South China University of Technology) and Jinchang Ren (Guangdong University of Technology) delivered excellent presentations entitled “Dynamic Event-Triggered Control of Linear Stochastic Systems with Sparse Measurements and Communication Delays” and “Hyperspectral Imaging: Emerging Technologies and Applications in Industrial Automation Based on Nondestructive Testing and Quality Grading,” respectively. Their talks demonstrated the latest academic explorations and practical applications in stochastic systems, event-triggered control, and hyperspectral imaging. President Qingyun Dai presented certificates to these four distinguished experts.

The conference also featured invited and oral presentations by more than ten representatives from universities and enterprises across Sichuan, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Xinjiang, and Xi’an. They engaged in in-depth exchanges covering smart transportation, robotic control, satellite networks, image recognition, intelligent power grids, and other fields, sharing recent research findings and application cases.

Finally, awards were presented for outstanding posters and papers, recognizing the remarkable achievements of young scholars in academic research and engineering practice.

As a significant academic exchange platform in the fields of IoT, automation, and AI, IoTAAI has been successfully held for seven consecutive editions since its inception. It has gradually become an important window for promoting academic communication, fostering scientific collaboration, and encouraging integration of industry, academia, and research. The success of this year’s conference not only showcased cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements from home and abroad but also further enhanced Guangdong University of Technology’s academic influence and disciplinary development in smart manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and smart city research.
